Day 5 was the purpose of the entire trip, the Oberammergau Passion Play. We awoke early to a good breakfast and took the 30-minute bus ride from Murnau to Oberammergau. We were let loose in the village where most of the tour group hit the shops and sites. However, we made the rounds to see our relatives and pay our respects to the grave sites. There were no pictures allowed of the Passion Play. The Passion Play first act started at 2:30 PM with a dinner break at 5:30. At 08:00 PM the second act started and lasted until 11:30. It was the busiest day for us and past in a blur. We arrived back at the Angerhaus in Murnau at 01:00 AM the following morning. Day 5 ended faster than it began.
