Day 8 – We woke to a nice breakfast and departed Salzburg and made our way to Munich, Germany. We walked the streets of Munich, visiting the various shops and stores. We watched the 12:00 playing of the Glockenspiel on Marienplatz before heading to the Hofbrauhaus for lunch and some beers. After lunch we visited the vast produce market with an eye to the sky for flying grapefruits before returning to the bus. It must have been the lunch, the beers, the warm afternoon, and the bus ride as the bus eerily went silent with but the occasional snore. The stop at Nymphenburg Palace got everyone back to their feet to tour the beautiful palace grounds. We then stopped at the Olympic Park, the site of the 1972 Olympics, and made the walk to the BMW showroom where we played with the toys. We headed to the hotel and said our goodbyes to Rudy, the Bus Driver. Rudy took us and the bus to places that no bus has gone before. We enjoyed a farewell dinner supplemented with drinks from the bar, before, with much trepidation, heading off to bed, this last night in Germany.
